You’ve worked hard to get where you are, and now it’s time to put your academic strengths to the test. The Academic Scholarship Competition gives you the opportunity to challenge yourself, stand out among other high-achieving students, and compete for valuable scholarship opportunities at Fairmont State University.

The Academic Scholarship Competition is an on-campus experience designed to recognize high-achieving students and give you the chance to connect with faculty and staff, explore campus, and showcase your academic strengths.

What to Expect

When you attend, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Participate in valuable sessions and activities
• Meet Fairmont State faculty and staff
• Connect with other students who are considering Fairmont State
• Learn more about life on campus
• Explore opportunities available to you as a Fairmont State student
• Be considered for additional scholarship opportunities (up to a FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP!)

Eligibility Requirements

• MUST be a first-time freshman
• MUST be admitted to Fairmont State University
• MUST have ≥ 3.25 high school GPA
• MUST have submitted high school transcripts
• MUST file a FAFSA
